CALLED BY DEATH
Israel Barlow, Sr., of Bountiful, one of the best known men in the county died Monday morning at his home at 210 West, Fifth North Street, Salt Lake City, of general debility.
Born in Nauvoo Ill., in 1842 he arrived in Utah six years later. The company led by Horton Haight.
Practically all of Barlow's life was spent in the service of his church.
He himself filled three missions and three of his sons filled two missions each.
Ten years after the death of his wife, Annie Yates Barlow, in 1901, Mr. Barlow married Miss Mary Beebe, who survives him as do eight daughters, four sons, and 150 other descendants.
Funeral services were held in the Bountiful Tabernacle, Wednesday at 2 p. m. Interment took place in the Bountiful cemetery.

Pioneer of 1848 Dies of Debility
Israel Barlow, 82 years old, Utah pioneer of 1948, died Monday at his home, 210 West Fifth North street, from general debility caused by old age. He was born in Nauvoo, Illi., and came to this state with his parents six years later in the company of Horton Haight.
Mr. Barlow had filled three missions for the L.D.S. church and had three sons who have filled two missions each. He is survived by eight daughters and four sons.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the East Bountiful chapel. Internment will be in Bountiful cemetery.
