Death came on Sunday morning at 9:15 o'clock as a welcome relief from suffering for Mrs. Eliza B. Copenhaver, wife of John B. Copenhaver, at the family home, 459 North Sixth St. Although she was confined to bed only nine weeks, she was ill since January, suffering from complication of diseases. She passed her 74th birthday anniversary in December last. Mrs. Copenhaver was born and raised in the Monroe Valley region of this county and resided In the county all her life. She was a resident of this city for many years and widely known. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a regular attendant there. She was greatly devoted to her home, and possessed fine traits of heart and mind, that endeared her to all with whom she came into contact. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and her passing has brought much grief to the home. Besides the husband, she leaves four children; Harvey Copenhaver, the Lehman Street shoe merchant; Mary, wife of Ray Worrall, a local auto mechanic; and Robert and Paul, at home. Joseph Kohr, of N. Ninth Street, is an only brother. The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 8, at 4:00 o:clock from the home. Interment to be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
