She was born June 11, 1915, in Taylorville, the daughter of Jason Kirk and Eva Cook Busby. She married William T. Haywood in 1934 in Peoria; he died in 1980.
Mrs. Haywood graduated from Taylorville High School and worked at J.C. Penney Department Store, Federal Department Store and American Red Cross. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Taylorville.
Survivors: three sons, Gary (wife, Pauline) Haywood of Ypsilanti, Mich., Ron (wife, Mary) Haywood of Flushing and Don (wife, Kathy) Haywood of Chelsea, Mich.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, David (wife, Nancy) Busby of Girard; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services: Monday, Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
