Callihan, Grace E. - Her home, Millwood, Washington. Passed away August 21, 1974 in the Spokane Valley. Mother of Robert Callihan and Melvin Callihan, both of the Spokane Valley; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister of Margaret Tiffany, Spokane; and Mrs. Martha Carr, Long Beach, California; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 1974 at 11 A.M. in the Colonial Chapel of the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, N1306 Pines Road, Opportunity, the Rev. Eugene W. Muench officiating. Burial services Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.

Grace was the fifth of eight children for William and Emma (Claymon) Decker. The family lived in Iroquois County, Illinois. Sometime between 1900 and 1910 the family moved to Spokane County, Washington. Grace married Samuel Ross Callihan September 22, 1915 in Spokane, Washington. They had three children: Melvin; Robert; Chester. They settled in Millwood, where they spent the rest of their lives.
