Emma Claymon was the fourth child of Herman Claymon, Jr. and wife Jennie Anna Eden. She married William Rhinehart Decker on March 30, 1887 in Danforth, Illinois. They had eight children, all born in Illinois: Rinehart William; Jennie Anna; Anna Marie; Martha Caroline; Grace Evelyn; Margaret Edna; Herman; Edward Leroy. Sometime between 1901 -1910 they moved from Illinois to Spokane County, Washington. Sometime between 1910 - 1920 she and William divorced. In 1920 Emma was living in a hotel in Hillyard, Washington and working there washing dishes. She died of intestinal cancer.
