Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Sunday at 2 p.m. at Zion (Shaffer's) Union Church. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
Friends may call at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Saturday 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Max Shaffer, 70, Of Neimans Succumbs
Neimans – Mrs. Elda Brenneman Shaffer, Glen Rock RD 2, this place, died at 3:50 a.m. yesterday at York Hospital, where she had been a patient six weeks. Wife of Max Shaffer, she was 70.
Mrs. Shaffer was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion (Shaffer's) Union Church, near Hanover Junction. She also belonged to the Lutheran Church Women and the Sunday school.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Howard L. Shaffer, 927 East Walnut Street, and Mrs. Burnell L. Werner, Blooming Grove Road, both of Hanover; Mrs. Stewart Hersh, Jefferson, and Raymond E. Shaffer, York RD 6; also 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Sunday with services at 2 p.m. at Zion (Shaffer's) Church. Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, Mrs. Shaffer's pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. George A. Heisey, pastor of the United Church of Christ congregation. Interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
