Blanche M. Katarski, 71, of Phoenix, a homemaker, died Dec.14, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born in Chicago. Survivors include her daughters, Annette Gathright and Mary Halsall; sons Stanley and Edward; three sisters; a brother, and six grandchildren. note I was always told her middle name was Marlene like my mothers.. but her Social Security says its Marilyn {Nov 1936: }... all other records just say M... and the birth index says MARLENE BUT was Submitted by her in 1941.. so.. while it's possible that the transcriber for the SSDI made a mistake it's also possible she changed it.
