A resident and native of Brusly, he died at 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 80 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, from 11:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, celebrated by the Rev. Matthew Dupré. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by a brother, Eldridge "Bro" Chustz, Addis; sister-in-law, Katie Chustz, Baton Rouge; niece, Donna Chustz Kirkland and husband Allen, Addis; nephew, Aubin Chustz, Baton Rouge; great-nephew, Dustin Kirkland, Austin, Texas; and two great-nieces, Leigh Ann Allyn Kirkland and Lindsy Kirkland Cordell and husband Michael, all of Addis. Preceded in death by parents, Daily Joseph and Cornelia LeJeune Chustz; sister, Donna Chustz; and five brothers, Malcolm, Leon, Lynn, Doyle and Stuart Chustz.
