A retired employee of Thompson Sign Co. with many years of service, he died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at his home in Brusly. He was 72 and a native of Brusly. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Eric Gyan. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by two brothers, Lloyd J. "Cotton" Chustz, Brusly, and Eldridge "Bro" Chustz, Addis; a niece of Addis; a nephew of Baton Rouge; two great-nieces; and a great-nephew, all of Addis. Preceded in death by parents, Daley and Cornelia LeJeune Chustz; a sister, Donna Mae Chustz; and four brothers, Leon, Malcolm, Lynn and Doyle Chustz. Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, in charge of arrangements.
