Marion Bryant, age 83, of Clarence, MO, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Clarence Care Center in Clarence, MO. He was born March 21, 1929, in Union Star, MO, the son of Lew Wallace and Ivy Campbell Bryant. On November 3, 1950, he was united in marriage to Helen Subke. She passed away on November 3, 2002. He later married Bea Melson on January 13, 2007. She survives. Marion is also survived by three children, Donna Melson and husband David of Clarence, MO, David Bryant and wife Connie of Shelbina, MO and Jeff Bryant and wife Cheryl of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Jennifer Meyer and husband D.J., Christopher Melson and wife Rebecca, Curtis Melson and girl friend Erin Ahern, Scott Bryant and wife Jenny and Ben Bryant and girl friend Jill Farmer and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Bryant and two brothers, Marvin and Alvin Bryant. Marion was a former member of the Clarence Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and bingo. He loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. Funeral services will held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence, MO, with burial to follow at the Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home in Clarence from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Memorials may be made to Helping Hand of Clarence or Clarence Baseball Association.
