Alvin L. Bryant, 62, of Clarence died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1985 at 11:15 p.m. at Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon.
Mr Bryant was born near Union Star on Jan. 9, 1923, He was the son of Lew Wallace and Ivy Campbell Bryant. On June 4, 1985 he married Eilleen Cope. He was a member of the 31st. Street Baptist Church in Kansas City. He was a retired truck driver. Alvin served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.
Bryant was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, of the home; Kim Waller of Kansas City, Mo., Joan Mortan of Kansas City, Kan., Sherry Miller of Blue Springs, Mo., and Janice Medek of Delaware; five grandchildren, and two brothers; Marvin Bryant and Marion Bryant, both of Clarence.
Funeral services were held Nov.8 at 2 p.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Chapel in Clarence, with the Rev. William A. Knowles and the Rev. Bob Scofield officiating. Burial was in the Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence, with military rites at the grave by the Clarence veterans.
