"Funeral services for ABRAHAM JERNIGAN, of 1305 Alexander Street, Marshall, are to be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boggy Baptist Church. The body is at Lewis Funeral Home. Officiating minister is to be the Rev. Harry Blake. Burial is to be in New Boggy Cemetery.
Mr. Jernigan was a native of Bethany, Louisiana. He died Monday at Marshall Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Boggy Baptist Church. He was a plumber.
Surviving are six sons, Marcellus Jernigan, Norman Jernigan, Oscar Jernigan and Solomon Jernigan III, all of Marshall, and Thomas Jernigan and Arthur B. Jernigan, both of Shreveport, Louisiana; four daughters, Mrs. Maude Irene Jernigan and Mrs. Hattie Mae Cooper, both of Marshall, Mrs. Ida Morris, of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Mrs. Susie Golden, of Bethany, Louisiana; one sister, Mrs. Luvenia Grimes, of Waskom; and 86 grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
