Mrs. HATTIE MAUDE (ABERCROMBIE) JERNIGAN was the daughter of Eugene Abercrombie and Mrs. Josephine (Anderson) Abercrombie.

She was the wife of Abraham Jernigan whom she wed on January 05, 1905 in Panola County, Texas.

To their union, at least 10 children were born. Their known children were ---

Booker T. Jernigan
Arthur B. Jernigan
Marcellus Jernigan
Norman Jernigan
Oscar Jernigan
Solomon Jernigan III
Hattie Mae Jernigan
Maude Irene Jernigan

Sadly, two of their children, whose names are yet be known, passed away before the spring of 1910, as reported in the county census records.

Hattie preceded her husband in death.

Upon her passing, she was laid to rest on June 28, 1953 on the grounds of New Boggy Cemetery.

Burial arrangements were managed by funeral director, S.S. Hayward, of Marshall.
