However, she is not listed on the 1850 census with her family, and all other census records in which she is found give a birth year of about 1852. The 1900 census states that she was born in Jun 1852.
The informant on her death certificate was her nephew, Felix Kinn Deering, son of Laura's sister, Francis "Fannie" Mae (Houston) Deering.
