Married Thomas "Tom" Abner Deering on 28 Nov 1880, in Haralson County, Georgia. He adopted her son (born Felix Kinn Fincher) and gave him the new last name of Deering, which he kept for the rest of his life.

On 23 Dec 2014, Miller Funeral Home of Tallapoosa confirmed this burial location, as well as her exact day of birth, which is shown above: 15 Jan 1854.
