CURTIS EDWARD CATO, age 89, of Morris, met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, October 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Jennie Cato; wife of 70 years, Esther Lee Cato, son, Curtis Cato, Jr; daughter, Barbara Foster; 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his daughters, Anita Louise Foster (Ralph); Rita Dean Higginbotham (Eric); sons, Calvin Carlton Cato, Gregory Steven Cato (Cindy); 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 1 brother; and being loved by everyone who knew him he leaves an extended host of loving family members and friends. Mr. Cato's funeral service will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service (12:00 to 1:00 p.m.). Burial will follow at Providence Methodist Church Cemetery.
