Thomas H. Moran Jr.

Thomas H. Moran Jr., 46, proprietor of Moran's Market, 1576 Forest Ave., died yesterday in a local hospital following a brief illness. He resided at 1584 Forest Ave.

Born in South Portland, May 9, 1917, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth Cullerton Moran.

Following his graduation from Portland High School, he was employed with the A. & P. Stores for 22 years. Several years ago, he established his market on Forest Ave.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a first lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in the European Theater. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Cornerstone Lodge, AF and AM, Harold T. Andrews Post, AL, and a former member of the Portland Kiwanis Club.

Besides his widow, the former Dorothy Larsen, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Jane Elizabeth Moran, Portland; a son, Thomas H. Moran III, Portland; three sisters, Mrs. Helen M. Valliere, Mrs. William Atherton, both of Portland, and Mrs. Louis Meagher, Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
