The Spelling of Culleton/Cullerton

The above obituary is copied as it was written in the Portland Press Herald, a copy of which can be obtained from the microflim available at the Portland Public Library. The "proper" spelling is without the "r" to become "Culleton." This is verified in the Canadian Census Reports as well as in the following generations of "Culletons," now living in Maine, who are descendents of William Culleton, the older brother of Elizabeth.
