John H. Hopkins, son of the late Willie Hopkins and Mrs. Frances Hudson Hopkins, was born 19 Dec 1903 in Green Co. and departed this life at 11 pm Thurs. 2 Mar 1978 at his home in the Bethlehem Community of Green Co. He was 74 years, 2 months and 13 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Madalene Loveall 24 Dec 1934, who survives. To this union were born 2 daughters: Doris Ann and Nancy Hopkins, both of Greensburg. Hopkins is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 2 pm Sun. 5 Mar 1978 with burial in the Bethlehem Cem. Revs. Gary Ervin and James Evans officiated. Pallbearers were J.D. Paxton, Robert Earl Paxton, Terry Paxton, James Luther Paxton, Bill Coffey, and Gary Burris.
