Friends were made sad on Sun 20 Feb 1944 at the passing of Mrs. Louise Frances Hopkins, familiarly known as Fannie, at her home near Gresham. She was born 22 Sept 1868, the daughter of Sam and Martha Hudson. At the age of 25 years she was married to William Hopkins who preceded her in death a number of years ago. To this union 5 children were born, 1 dying in infancy. Those surviving are Maud, Charlie, John and Mrs. Vaughn Coffey. There are also 4 grandchildren. She was converted early in life and joined the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of which she remained a faithful member until death. She was known far and wide for her good, kind and neighborly devotion to her family, friends and neighbors and for her kindness to the sick and troubled and will be sadly missed. Funeral services were held Tues. afternoon at Bethlehem Church with Rev. Claude Squires in charge, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Hudson cem. to await the resurrection morn when the body and soul will be reunited.
