GREENS FORK, Ind. - Della Snyder, age 93, of Greens Fork, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Born April 13, 1919, in Leslie County, Kentucky, to Carl and Laura Helton, she lived in Greens Fork most of her life.
Della worked at Dana Corporation for 28 years in packaging and multi-graphing, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Greens Fork Christian Church where she was a Ladies Aide. Della enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and working with her hands.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Jim) Henley of Richmond, Patty Arnold of Greens Fork, and Peggy (Doug) Ogden of Carlos; son, Arnold (Linda) Snyder of Hagerstown; grandchildren, James Henley, Richard Henley, Jamie Arnold, Chad Ogden, Robin Ogden, Daniel Snyder, and Deron Snyder; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Wetzel; brother, Ray (Patty) Helton of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Donna Snyder; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aron Snyder, who died in 1981; parents; sons, Tom Snyder and Jay Snyder; infant sister, Grace Helton; brothers, Buck Helton, Ted Helton, and Walter Helton; and sisters, Cordia Cecil, Edna Cornetta, and Louise Holt.
Visitation for Della Snyder will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with John Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
