RICHMOND, Ind. – Raymond E. Helton, age 84, of Richmond, died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Reid Hospital. Born December 29, 1929, in Jacksonburg, Indiana, to Carl and Laura Helton, he was a life-long resident of this area. Raymond was a World War II Army Veteran. He worked in inventory at Belden, retiring in 1984. Raymond was a member of Trinity Praise and Worship Church. He restored antique cars and clocks. Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. Sanders Helton, to whom he was married in 1951; sister, Betty Wetzel of Tipi, Arizona; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Buck Helton, Ted Helton, and Walter Helton; sisters, Cordia Cecil, Edna Cornetta, Louise Holt, Della Snyder, and infant sister, Grace Helton.
