Dottie C. Stanfield, 93 of Vivian, Louisiana passed away on August 18, 2020.

A private family graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Vivian Cemetery in Vivian, Louisiana officiated by Bro. Trey McGuire.

Dottie was born on July 18, 1927 in Harmon, LA to Marshall Edward Cox, Sr. and May Boudreaux Cox. She lived in Vivian most of her life and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved spending time with her family, playing board and card games, reading her Bible, and drinking coffee with her friends while working puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Avery Clifton Stanfield (Junior), her 3 brothers, Marshall Edward Cox Jr., Jimmy Cox, and Tommy Cox, and her 5 sisters, Betty Williams, Mary Sue Schadler, Jane Crocker, Joy Beene, and Dorothy Eames.

She is survived by her 2 children, Sharon Rhoads and husband Wayne of Shreveport, LA, and Karen Jorgensen of Pensacola, FL, her 5 grandchildren, Melinda Shepard and husband Michael Of Shreveport, LA, Stacy DeLeon of Mobile, AL, Ethan Matthews (Dusty) of Carthage, TX, Troy DeLeon and wife Cyndi of Panama City, FL, and Richard Dooley of Milton, FL, 2 step-grandchildren, Danielle Williams and husband Charles, and Christine Stansbury and husband John, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
