She was born at Waterstreet Dec. 23, 1834 and was the oldest resident of that place being in her 90th year. Her husband and three children preceded her to the grave.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Almeda Goodman of Mount Union: Peter and Charles of Mt. Etna: Mrs. D.S. Downing of Waterstreet. Also by 27 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Four sisters survive; Mrs. Dr. Brenneman of Saxton: Mrs. Sarah Kyper of McKeesport: Mrs. Dolly Hammond of Kansas: and Mrs. Kate Isenberg of Yellow Springs.

"Grandmother Beck", as she was always known, was a life long member of Waterstreet Lutheran Church, having united with that church when she was but fifteen years of age. She was loved by all who knew her and leaves a host of friends to mourn her departure.

Funeral sevices will be conducted from her late residence, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by her pastor Rev. Jamson, with interment at Schaffersville cemetery.
