Obituary: Services for Ralph P. Ewing, 83, were held at the Ingram Funeral Home.

Mr. Ewing died Friday at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for 10 days.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Luna Ewing of Albion; one daughter, Mrs. Elmo (Ruby) Root of Bone Gap; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Ewing and Mrs. Lola Ewing, both of Albion; 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ewing had resided in Albion for the past 54 years, and had operated the North Side Service Station on Route 130 north for a number of years. He had also operated restaurants here and was employed by the Albion Brick Company at one time.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Modern Woodmen's Lodge.

Born March 3, 1893 in Wayne County, his parents were John and Lucy Simpson Ewing. He was married August 24, 1911 to Luna Terrell.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, Mrs. Opal Fewkes in 1945 and two sons, Sidney on February 12,1975 and Dr. Floyd Ewing, October 27, 1975.

Rev. Jack Pierce officiated at the services, with interment at Graceland Cemetery.
