Carl Beckett, 54, of rural Williamsport, passed away at the Seton Hospital, Lafayette, on Monday, October 15, 2012, at 11:35 a.m.
Carl was born in Danville, IL, on January 20, 1958. He was the son of the late Maurice Eugene and Marjorie (Pribble) Beckett. He was raised and has lived all of his life in the Carbondale area of Warren County. He was a graduate of Seeger Memorial High School in 1976.
Carl formerly farmed in Liberty Township and had worked as an over-the-road truck driver. He had more recently worked for the Warren County Highway Department.
Carl enjoyed spending his time visiting with friends and having coffee at Carbondale.
Carl leaves behind his brother, Glen E. (Trudy) Beckett, Williamsport; and a sister, Kris (Ed) Jones, Lafayette; also his nieces and nephews.
Following his cremation services, a private family burial will follow in the Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, IL. Condolences may be sent online to www.mausfuneralhome.com.
