Passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Son of Maurice E. "Kick" and Marjorie Pribble Beckett.
Married Trudy J. Chinn March 29, 2003. in Hickman Heights Church. She survives.
Also surviving are step-daughter Melanie Maynard; step-son B.J. (Regina) Maynard; sister Kris (Ed) Jones; grandchildren Dylan, Brice, Delaney, Heather, Brittnay and Cody; great-grandchildren Colton, Hunter and Raley; nephew Kory Jones; niece Katie Jones.
He was preceded in death by brother Carl Beckett.

1975 graduate of Seeger High School.

Served in the U.S. Air Force from 1977 until his honorable discharge in 1981 with the rank of Sergeant.

Formerly worked as a carpenter for the Carpenter's Local Union # 215 in Lafayette, and had worked as an over-the-road truck driver. He had also helped his father and uncles farm in Warren County.

He was an avid woodworker. He enjoyed collecting model trains. He was an avid sports fan and the Chicago Bears was his favorite team. He enjoyed Indy car racing and attended over 47 consecutive Indy 500 races with Mario Andretti as his favorite driver.

Funeral service 6pm Saturday, May 1 at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Darlene DeHaai officiating.
A military service following the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment at a later date in Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, IL.
Visitation 3pm until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for final expenses.
