Funeral services for W.R. (Billy) Wells, Jr., 60, were held Sept. 30 at Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Clark officiating. Burial was held in the Enon Cemetery with Welch Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Wells, the owner of Wells Tire and Carpet, died Sept. 28 at the V.A. Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Gwyn Wells of Starkville; a daughter, Martha Wells of Jackson; two sons, William R. Wells, III of Starkville and Charlie B. Wells of Orlando, Fla.; his mother, Irene M. Wells of Jackson; two sisters, Martha Jo Ann Sebren of Jackson and Sarah Catledge of Louisville; a brother, Bobby L. Wells of Starkville; and one granddaughter.
Memorial may be made to the Billy Wells Hospital Fund. The address is Grace Christian Fellowship, 21 Raleigh Road, Starkville.
