Harriet Arline Limeberger McCranie was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Limeberger, Sr. and Salome Geyer Limeberger. She married John McCranie on January 26, 1871 in Lowndes County, GA. Between 1880 and 1885 they moved to Florida, living in Jackson County, Florida and then between 1910 and 1920 they moved to Franklin County, Florida on the Franklin County, Liberty County line at what is now known as McCranie Landing. McCranie Landing is located behind the Sumatra Cemetery on Black Creek. Her children were Ignicia MeCranie, Mary Gertrude McCranie, Salome Melvina McCranie, Alice McCranie, Tallula "Lula" McCranie, William Benjamin McCranie, Daniel McCranie, Mattie McCranie, Bessie McCranie, John Wilson McCranie, Claudia Wilson McCranie, and Pearl Elizabeth McCranie . Harriet's husband, Rev. John McCranie and son, John Wilson McCranie are buried in the Sumatra Cemetery in Sumatra, FL. After the death of her husband she moved back to Jackson County, FL.
