Charles was born in Sycamore, Ga. the son of the late Roy m. Farmer, Sr. and Pauline Bruton Farmer. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of Gold Kist Peanut Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Sycamore Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, collecting and feeding his cats.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sarah Childs Farmer, Sycamore, his brothers Talmadge and Robert Farmer, both of Sycamore, Ga and his sister, Lucille Farmer Brooks, of Port Charlotte, Fl. Also surviving are a large number of nieces and nephews and a special niece, Brenda Cox of Ashburn, Ga.
