JANICE MAE MEGAHAN
Mrs. Janice Mae Megahan, 70, 3715 Burgoon Road, Altoona, formerly of Williamsburg, died Friday morning, June 13, 2003, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 14, 1933, in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Orville J. and Carolyn (Russell) Isenberg-Mason. She married Byron C. Megahan March 21, 1987, at Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg.
Mrs. Megahan attended Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg. She retired as a quality control operator from U.S. Envelope, Williamsburg, in 1993, and she previously was employed at Westvaco, Williamsburg, with 30 years combined service. Before that, she was employed at the Blair County Children's Home, Williamsburg.
Mrs. Megahan was a 1951 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952-56, serving in a hospital children's ward and attained the rank of airman first class. She was a member of Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg.
Mrs. Megahan loved her dog, Dixie, enjoyed shopping trips, walking and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her husband; a brother, Juette 0. Isenberg of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg; a sister, Ailene F. Delich (husband, Jacob) of Royer, Williamsburg RR 2; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where funeral services will be held at at 11 a.m. Tuesday by Pastor William Pepper. Interment at Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg.
