JUETTE O. "RED" ISENBERG

Juette 0. "Red" Isenberg, 84, formerly of 712 West Second Street, Williamsburg, died Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2005, at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, after a brief illness. He was born March 4, 1921, in Williamsburg, son of the late Orville Juette and Carolyn (Russell) Isenberg. He married Elizabeth M. Johnson Oct. 9, 1971, in Winchester, Va. She died July 7, 2000.

Mr. Isenberg attended Clappertown Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Williamsburg RR 2. He retired as a road crew foreman from PennDOT after 10 years of service. Previously, he was employed by Westvaco, Williamsburg, with 31 years of service.

Mr. Isenberg was a 1939 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He served in the Merchant Marine during WWII. Mr. Isenberg enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He was a member of Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post, Williamsburg; the Allegheny Club, Hollidaysburg; and he was a 50-year member of Woodbury Lodge 539, F&AM, Roaring Spring, and the Altoona Consistory.

Surviving are two daughters: Delores J. Beaver (husband, Ned) of Homer City and Karen J. Frye (husband, Larry) of Williamsburg RR 2; a daughter-in-law, Donna Isenberg of Homer City; a stepdaughter, Sandra Carter in North Carolina; two stepsons: Wayne Johnson in California and Jerry Johnson Jr. in Florida; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Ailene Delich of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Juette 0. II, and a sister, Janice Megahan.

ISENBERG - Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Friday and where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday by Pastor Wilbert E. Banks. Interment will be made at Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Williamsburg Public Library.
