Another Old Settler Gone.
On last Monday morning at 8 o'clock Rudolph Kasparek passed from this life into the presence of his creator, aged sixty years.
Rudolf Kasparek was born in Bohemia, but moved to America in 1874. He has been a resident of David City for about twenty years, and in years gone by was one of the familiar figures on our streets. For the last year he had been more or less an invalid and about a month ago began to fail very fast. Last Friday he went to sleep and never again awoke until he had crossed the dark river.
He leaves a wife and eight children, who sincerely mourn the loss of husband and father. The funeral occurred Wednesday from the family residence and the body was interred in the protestant cemetery south of town.
