Widow Of Dr. Allen Jenkins Dies This Morning
Mrs. Florence Adams Jenkins, 80, widow of the late Dr. Allen Jenkins, died at 11:15 a.m. today at Hilltop Rest Home following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Gerard-Bradley Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Warren County. She was born in the Browning neighborhood on June 3, 1876, the daughter of John and Mary Hutcheson Adams.
She married Dr. Jenkins in 1901. He died in 1946.
Surviving is a son, Allen L. Jenkins, City.

A quiet wedding celebrated at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the parlors of the Maxwell united Miss Florence Adams and Allen Jenkins, both of Bowling Green, Ky. They arrived at 3 o'clock, accompanied by the bride's sister, Miss Carrie Adams, Lou Perkins and Rev. W.T. Ferguson, who performed the ceremony. Mr. Perkins acted as best man. The ceremony was witnessed besides by Miss Jessie Ferguson, Carl Ferguson and J.E. Wakefield, of Nashville, and J.C. Adams, of Bowling Green.
The bride wore a pretty castor cloth gown, tailor made, with a vest of Persian silk and a straw hat of light tan. She carried a bouquet of bride roses. On the night train the wedded couple returned to Bowling Green, where the bride represents an important family connection and the groom is a prominent business man.
