WILLIE BELLE PHILLIPS
June 7, 1907 ~ August 26, 1985

Mrs. Willie Belle Phillips of Smithville, died Monday, Aug. 26 in a Mena, Ark. nursing home at the age of 78 years, two months and 19 days.

She was born June 7, 1907 at Leedey, the daughter of the late John and Meda White Webb.

She was united in marriage with Melvin Phillips, Aug. 30, 1928 at Idabel. He preceded her in death in August, 1976.

Mrs. Phillips, a Baptist, had lived at Smithville since 1933.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 29, in the Octavia Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert J. Thomasson and the Rev. Ed Rogers, officiating.

Burial followed in the Smithville Cemetery under the direction of the Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home of Mena, Ark.

Survivors include a son, Edgel Phillips of Octavia; a daughter, Mrs. Floy Smith of Smithville; two brothers, Cecil and Wilson Webb, Sweethome, Ore.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
