Mrs. ANNIE IRENE HINES, widow of Martin Luther Hines, former resident of Sharpsburg, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elwood B. Chalk, Laurel, Md., of complications, after an illness of six months, aged 70. She had resided at Laurel for the last five years.
Born and reared at Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Boyer) Huyett and was a member of the Methodist Church, Brunswick.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Edgar Houser, New Oxford, Pa.; Mrs. Gladys Hornbaker, Hagerstown; Mrs. Wade D. Boarman, Hyattsville; Mrs. Elwood Chalk; step children, Mrs. John Hiendrik, Washington; Mrs. Joseph Brashears, Sharpsburg; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Lloyd R. Fisher, Roanoke; brother, Charles Hewett, Sharpsburg.
Services wre held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
