Letty Ellen Mundt, 86, of rural Crete passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Wilber Care Center.

She was born October 21, 1921 in Seward County to Arthur and Jennette (Boggs) Stern. She graduated from Pleasant Dale High School in 1939. She married Harold John Mundt on April 12, 1942.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold John; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Mundt of Crete; grandchildren, Lonnie Lee and wife, Tara of Hershey, Michelle and Dean Brand of Wayne, Michael and Kimberly Mundt of Arcadia; great-grandchildren, Alex Mundt, Benjamin and Joshua McCaslinn, Aundreya and Kassidy Mundt; sister, Dorothy Carver of Denver, Colorado; brother, Lyle Stern of Blair; sister-in-law, Gladys Croser of Lincoln; brother-in-law, LeRoy Mundt of Grand Island; and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary; parents; stepmother, Bertha; sister, Bonnie Bargman and husband Elmer; brother, Bernard and wife, Alma; brother, Raymond and wife, Dorthy; stepsister, Violet and husband Floyd Graff; sister-in-law, Iona Stern; brother-in-law, Kenny Carver, brother-in-law, Donald Mundt and wife, Emily; brother-in-law, Bill Crosier; brother in-law, Arnold Broz and wife, Edna; brother-in-law, Joe Jewitt and wife, Meta; nephews, Rick Bargman and Travis Tompson.

Funeral services were held May 23 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Nathan Ristvedt officiating. Organist was Nellie Ristvedt. Interment was in Kramer Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Mundt, Michael Mundt, Dean Brand, Bruce Stern, John Stern, and Denis Bargman.

Kuncl Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
