Irene Cecilia Reed
MILES CITY, MT.----Irene Cecilia Reed, age 69, wife of Dick of Miles City, passed away Sunday, March 7, 1999, at the Holy Rosary Health Center.
Irene was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Cohagen, MT., the daughter of Valentine and Katey (Diebele).
When Irene, was a baby her mom passed away and she was raised by her aunt and uncle Diebele.
Their family lived in Powder River area and later moved into Miles City, where she attended school.
She worked area restaurants in Miles City and for dude ranches in Wyoming and Washington.
She later returned to Miles City.
On Dec. 4, 1949, Iren married Dick Reed in Glendive, MT.
Irene is survived by her husband, Dick of Miles City; three sons; Rick (Kim) Reed of Helena, MT.; Jay (Linda) Reed of Sidney, MT., and Curtis (Lori) Reed of Missoula, MT.; a sister, Agnes Martin of Sweet Water, TX.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Joseph Dyba; and an Uncle Ralph Diebele.
A vigil service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home,
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home, with Father Gil Hemauer-Capuchin officiating.
A private family burial will follow at a later date.
Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home, of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
