Perie Pitts Rumold, son of Ferdinand John and Olive Emily Pitts Rumold, was born on September 26, 1902, in Dillion, Kansas. On June 1, 1928, he married Rillah May Salsbury in Jackson, Missouri. They later divorced. This union was blessed with one daughter, Rillah Jean Rumold. Perie married Eleanor Krey Stith in Jackson, Missouri.

Perie died June 19, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 56. He is buried in Brooking, Missouri along side of Elenanor.

Mrs. Ada Salsbury announces the marriage of her daughter, Rillah May to Perie Pitts Rumold of Kansas City, Mo., at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. M. Q. Stevenson, at Chillicothe, 1 Mo., June 2, 1923. The Reverend Mr. M. Q. Stevenson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, performed the ceremony.
