Mrs. Merrill Dies; Widow of Banker
Mrs. Rena Wicks Merrill, 81, formerly of Marvelle Road, Fayetteville, died yesterday at a local nursing home.
She was the widow of Albert B. Merrill, at one time president and later chairman of the board of First Trust & Deposit Co.
Mrs. Merrill was a member of DeWitt Community Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Hammeken and Mrs. Richard W. Russell, a brother, Kenneth Wicks; a sister, Mrs. Milton Casey of Port Byron, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in DeWitt Community Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to DeWitt Community Church or Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Garfield Funeral Home, 515 Westcott St.
