Abraham L. Goettel—Abraham L. Goettel, 86, a native of Syracuse died yesterday at his home in Central Square after a long illness, the first he had suffered since he was 6 years old. He was born in Syracuse and attended school here. In 1863 he married Miss Mary Schorge and in 1896 he and Mrs. Goettel moved to Central Square, where Mr. Goettel had since been employed as a carpenter. Besides his wife he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Louise Claris, Mra Emma Shaun and Mrs. Henrietta Durst, all of Syracuse; a brother, Peter Goettel of Syracuse; five sons, George A., John W, Herman P., Abraham S. and Gould G. Goettel, and a daughter, Mra Elisabeth Weed, all of Central Square; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral today at 2 p. m. at the home, Rev. Frederick W. Betta officiating. Burial in Central Square.
