Anna Marie Christina Hirschler (nee Abel) was born June 21, 1882 at Warren, Iowa. She was baptized in the Christain faith on August 24, 1882 in the St. Peter's Evangelical Church in Franklin, Iowa and was confirmed into church membership after a period of religious instruction in St Paul's Evangelical Church of Donnellson, Iowa, on March 29, 1896. Throughout her lifetime she had been a faithful member and when health permitted served actively.
On February 10. 1903 in Donnellson, Iowa she married Otto M. Hirschler, who survives. Three sons were born of this union. They are Carl and Guthrie of Donnellson, and Sherman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She had been in failing health in recent years. On July 10 of this year she suffered a fractured hip and has been confined to her bed since that time. Loving care and faithful medical attention was administered, but to no avail.
Besides her husband and sons the departed is survived by four grandchildren, Dean and Lois of Donnellson, Roberta and Philip of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Katherine Abel of West Point; six brothers, Harry, David, John, Elmer, Raymond and Leroy, all of Donnellson, also other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held in the St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E.K. Schneider.
The body was laid to rest in the Evangelical cemetery, the following being pall bearers: John Abel, Elmer Abel, David Abel, Raymond Abel, Erwin Kuschel, and Leroy Abel
