James (Bill) Critchfield, 71, formerly of Rockwood, died Jan. 15, 1984, in Berlin. He was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Rockwood, son of Clarence and Catherine (Ansell) Critchfield. He is survived by one son, William L. Critchfield, Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Brown, Cleveland. Ohio; one brother, John O., Connellsville; two sisters: Mrs. L.L. (Louise) Romesburg, and Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Sanner, both of Rockwood RD 1; and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two brothers: J. Frank in 1933, and Charles R. in 1983. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, where services were conducted with his pastor, the Rev. Jack Hazlett officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
