Ruth C. Sanner, 96, Somerset, formerly of Rockwood, passed on July 6, 2005, at Easy Living Estates. Born June 28, 1909, in Rockwood, she is the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Ansell) Critchfield. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold "Bull" Sanner in 1989; sister Louise Romesberg; and brothers Frank, Charles, John and Wilbur Critchfield. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Jack and Jim Critchfield, Judy Weiss, Mary and Martha Critchfield, Nan Brown, and Audrey Salay; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Ruth (Mrs. John) Critchfield and Dorothy, (Mrs. Charles) Critchfield. She was a member of the Reformed Church in Rockwood. She was a member of Lodge 138 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Somerset and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a retired nurse who worked in the Somerset area. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
