TUPPER LAKE - A service was held this morning at
10 o'clock from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for Joseph LaFave. 87. of Dugal Road who died Friday in the Mercy General Hospital nursing section where he had been a patient for about one year. He was a retired janitor and had been exmployed at Sunmount Hospital for about 23 years. He was born in Glen Nevis, Ont.. the son of Louis and Delima Sequin LaFave. He had made his home in Tupper Lake since 1912. Survivors include: his wife, Ella Leroux LaFave; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Alice) Windsor of Syracuse and Mrs. Carmen (Dora) Gaglio, also of Syracuse; four sons, William of Syracuse, Leo of Tupper Lake, John Doris of San Rafael, Calif., and Oscar of Syracuse; 23 grandchildrn and 22 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in the spring.
