A funeral service for Lawrence LaFave, of McFarland Ave., Tupper Lake, who died Saturday night, at Mercy General Hospital, will be held at 9 a. m. Tuesday at St. Alphonsus1 Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Mr. LaFave had not been ill and had worked up until Friday night as heavy equipment operator for the Village of Tupper Lake. He was born in Tupper Lake, the son of Louis and Delima Sequin LaFave. In June 1965 he and his wife, the former Laura LaMay, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Survivors include his wife; five children, Mrs. Joyce Patsio of Watertown, Mass. Mrs. Joanne Cote and Mrs. Barbara Clark, both of Tupper Lake, and two sons, Lawrence Jr. of Canton and Donald LaFave; and several grandchildren.

TUPPER LAKE — Lawrence Joseph LaFave, 65, of 13 McFarland street, a lifelong Tupper Lake resident died Saturday at Mercy General hospital. Death was unexpected. Mr. LaFave suffered a heart attack about 8 p.m. Saturday, while fishing from a boat near his camp on the Raquette river. His sister. Mrs. Mary Reandeau, and nephew, Leonard Reandeau, who were with him on the outing, brought him in to the Tupper hospital. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery. He was born in Tupper Lake, July 1. 1901, a son of Louis and Delima Seguin LaFave and attended local schools . In 1920 he married Miss Laura . LaMay of this village. Mr. LaFave worked for Heywood Wakefield company, Conifer, for several years. He was in the employ of the village of Tupper Lake during the past seven years. Surviving, besides his wife, are: Two sons, Lawrence. LaFave. jr.. Canton, and Donald LaFave. Amyra. Pa.; three daughters. Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Clark and Mrs. Donald (Joanne) Cote, both of Tupper Lake, and Mrs. William (Joyce) Patsio of Watertown, Mass.: two sisters, Mrs. Victoria LaFrance and Mrs. Mary Reandeau, and a brother. Joseph LaFave, all of Tupper Lake, and ten grandchildren.
