Alvin Aufdembrink, age 85, of Freistatt, MO, went to his heavenly home on Friday afternoon, September 14, 2012.
He was born April 3, 1927, the son of Theodore and Minna Aufdembrink of Freistatt.
As a retired dairy and beef farmer, he spent his entire life on the same farm near Freistatt.
He was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he had served as an Usher for many years. He had attended the Lutheran School and was a charter member of the Freistatt Lions Club.
Alvin is survived by three sisters, Laura Aufdembrink, of the home, Edna Bergemann and husband Ed, of St. Paul, MN and Gladys Anna and husband Donald, of Severna Park, MD; eight nieces; six nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Arthur, Edward, James and Benjamin.
Funeral services for Mr. Aufdembrink will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with Reverend Ryan Buchmueller officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Alvin can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Radio Broadcast or to the Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
