Mrs. Maude Wicks, of Middleticld Center, died Thursday of last week at the-home -of -M rs-. Leigh Babcock, in Burlington Flats, after a long illness. She was born in Fly Creek, a daughter of Andrew and Elva (Burke) Stocking. She was married to Hosea Wicks. He died some time ago. The couple had lived in Middlefleld Center since their marriage and had one son, Fay Wicks, who died some time ago. She leaves a brother. Vaughn Stocking, who lives in the old homestead at Fly Creek, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral was at 2 o'clock Moriday afternoon from the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Cooperstown. with the Rev. Waldcn VanVoorhis, of Oneonta, officiating. Burial will be in Fly .Creek Cemetery in the spring
