Mrs. Rhonda Rhoda Leverett, 62, died Tuesday (September 11, 2012) at her residence following a long illness.

She was a native of Brantley County but had lived most of his life in Ware County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Carter and Ruby Wildes Carter; a sister Faye Joiner and a brother, Dick Griffin.

She was a member of Zenith Baptist Church and had been Sunday School Secretary for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Larry G. Leverett, Sr. of Manor; a daughter, Regina Henderson (husband Adam) of Manor; a son, Larry G. Leverett, Jr. (wife Angela) of Guam; six grandchildren, Deprise Henderson, Sam Henderson, Jackson Henderson, Ethan Leverett, Bryce Leverett and Trey Leverett; three sisters, Inez Myers of Verden, OK, Ruby Jean Lee and Vickie Copeland both of Waycross; three brothers, Wiley Carter (wife Agnes) of Waycross, Allen Carter (wife Judy) of Hawthorne, FL, Dennis Carter (wife Karen) of Jacksonville, FL; a sister-in-law, Diane Carter of Jacksonville, FL; two special sisters in Christ, Charlene Oliver and Emogene O'Berry; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday (September 14, 2012) at Zenith Baptist Church. Burial will be in Zenith Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Thursday night from 6 until 8. The Adult Sunday School Class are asked to gather at the church Friday morning at 10:40 a.m. to serve as honorary pallbearers.
