Ruby Jean Lee, 61, died suddenly Tuesday morning (September 1, 2020) at Memorial Satilla Health.
She was a native and life-long resident of Ware County, the daughter of the late Frank Allen Carter and Ruby Inez Wildes Carter. She was also preceded in death by sisters, India Inez Myers, Rhonda Leverret, and Faye Phillips, a brother Manning Griffin, and her boyfriend's mother Patty Jo Tiner.
She was a Homemaker and a member of Ware Terrace Baptist Church.
Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas Ryan Lee of Waycross,and Robert James “Robbie” Lee, Jr (wife Wendy) of Blackshear, 6 grandchildren Shelby Lee, Cheyenne Lee, Jackson Lee, Drake Lee, Sophie Lee, and Andrew Cox; a sister, Vickie Copeland of Waycross, three brothers, Cole Wiley Carter, Sr (wife Agnes) of Waycross, Claude Allen Carter (wife Judy) of Hawthorne, FL, and Frank Dennis Carter (wife Karen) of Jacksonville, FL, her boyfriend Roy Shelton of Waycross, the father of her children Robert James Lee, Sr of Waycross, her boyfriend’s brother Johnny Shelton of Waycross numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law on both of the Lee and Carter families.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday (September 5, 2020) at Youmans Chapel Baptist Church in Pierce County.
